Renaee’s path into Website Development was a gradual path of increasing interest and opportunities afforded to her to develop websites while working for several years in office administration for various not for profit and advocacy organisations.
However it was not until after the birth of her daughter, and a period of time away from full time employment where her interest and exploration of Drupal first began. This initial exploration took the form of a website built for her partner’s movie reviews and resulted in her meeting with John Saward, back in 2005, to seek his input in a Drupal 4 to 5 upgrade.
Since then Drupal has been her CMS ‘weapon of choice’ and, in partnership with a talented designer, she has developed a portfolio of sites that have continued to develop her experience, expertise and knowledge of the ‘Drupal way’.
Renaee currently maintains a large and active site for a membership based organisation, using the combination of Drupal and CiviCRM, a relationships management database that interfaces with Drupal. During this time she has seen the benefits of these heavy-lifting work tools bring growing organisational capacity for this Not For Profit, as it maps out its plans to move from a Victorian to a national service.
Renaee has a background in humanities and social sciences and values the working relationship entered into with clients as the key to success of any venture started.
She has joined forces with the Studio Also team and has much to offer as a site administrator, maintainer, trainer and advocate of website technologies to serve the greater good of individuals in organisation or business.
